Jaki there is a distinct lack of bird activity here. I put it down to the ravens nesting nearby who like to hang out on the road out the front and also bath in our fish ponds. there is an odd red wattle bird through I have seen up to 5 ravens together, even the currawongs have diminished in numbers. Sparrows are still about.
ooh! the birds must be going crazy at your place...we always get such noisy birds feasting on ours out the front!!
