Water Spiders

Sorry I didn't come back with more berry posts. The pace of life has picked up around here and I am barely blogging on either of my blogs. :)
These pond Spiders are amazing the skate across the water with such speed and agility grabbing unsuspecting insects at the water before they even realise what is happening.

we also have baby Goldfish swimming around in there which intrigue me!

By our front Door

Lost and Found ... a bowl mainly containing socks, a bright Yellow golf ball and a pink X not seen in these photos.

The white Sock still has the wooden peg attached. There are 4 socks in total. All of these items were found in our garden beds and we assume deposited there by Currawongs.

I did not notice the spider in the terracotta pot at all until I loaded the photos onto the computer!

Aperture

I'm getting to know my camera a little better and have started playing with the aperture settings to enable me to get clearer images.

Before, very dark and devoid of colour
Standard Camera Setting.

After much clearer subject.
Adjusted aperture manually

Before a bit glarey
Standard camera setting
After shows truer colour and is more anchored and defined.
Adjusted aperture manually.

Webs

Never a day goes by when I walk in the garden that I fail to be ensnared in some way.
As yuccky and amusing as it is it the crazy arm flailing that ensues I still feel a bit sad when I consider some tiny spider started up in that one tree created a line of web walked down to the ground and up the other tree, to secure it and weaved some magic, that I have just destroyed.

I wonder if I'll ever get used to walking through webs?
